ABOUT ME
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and hold a Masters in Clinical Psychology and an MBA in International Business. I am a former adjunct faculty member at Pepperdine University in the Graduate School of Psychology.
I began my business career after graduating from my MBA program at Loyola Marymount University working in the field of international sales for film and television. In 1990, I started my own distribution company and had a great run for many years. Parallel to my business life, my time was spent in the wellness community - whether I was taking a yoga class, attending a seminar or reading self-help books.
After many years of my own therapy, both individual and family, I became passionate about the field of psychology and how we create patterns in our own lives that seem to land us in a very similar place… different story line perhaps… but same process. In 2000, I decided to make a drastic shift in my life. I went back to school and began my journey in the field of mental health and addiction treatment.
Today I work with individuals and families whose loved ones are suffering from debilitating mental health issues and/or addiction issues. I collaborate with my client’s support team - psychiatrist, doctor, school counselor. This communication along with a goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment plan is paramount to me helping my clients navigate their own challenging situations.
